Through local tree planting drives, rainwater harvesting awareness, plastic elimination campaigns, and household waste segregation training, we work hand-in-hand with village communities to restore local ecosystems and protect natural resources for future generations.

Key Green Initiatives for Rural Sustainability

1. Native Tree Plantation Drives

Deforestation worsens soil erosion and raises local temperatures. SAF's tree plantation initiatives focus on planting native species—such as neem, pongamia, and tamarind—which thrive in dry climates, require minimal water, and provide dense shade. We distribute saplings to school children, farmers, and women's groups, ensuring that local communities take ownership of caring for the trees.

2. Local Water Conservation and Rainwater Harvesting

Water scarcity is a chronic issue in Tamil Nadu. We educate families on the importance of rainwater harvesting and show them how to install simple, low-cost recharge systems in their homes and schools.
